Tioman is not only for diving! There are numerous other activities that can be done on the Island. Here we would like to introduce some other activities that you can try out while you are on holiday in Tioman.

What You Need to Know

Tioman is home to the most beautiful panorama and pristine beaches. CNN listed Tioman as TOP 21 WORLD’S BEST BEACHES. There are eight main villages on the island and we are located on the east coast of Tioman Island in the beautiful bay of Juara. Juara is famous for its long white beaches fringed by lush green rainforests and waterfalls.

What are the options?

Jungle Trekking

Tioman island is surrounded by majestic rainforest which makes it an ideal spot for jungle trekking. There is a trekking route that connects Juara and Tekek Village. This trail is around 7 km long and takes around 3 – 4 hours of adventurous hiking. As you explore the jungle, you will be captivated by the beauty of the Tioman mother nature. The trail offers a thrilling experience where you can discover numerous different species of flora and fauna along the way.

Waterfall Trekking

Juara waterfall is a must-visit waterfall in Tioman. With 2 different waterfalls to choose from, the crisp refreshing air and crystal-clear cool water at Juara waterfalls is a wonderful wonderland in which to refresh yourself after a tiring trekking.

Lubok Teja Waterfall, 45 minutes hike to reach Lubok Teja waterfall from Little Planet as the starting point. As you make your way up the hillside, you can enjoy the beauty of flora and fauna of Tioman pristine rainforest. Make your way there and as you get close, you cannot help but hear the strong gush of the water. Get a refreshing swim at Lubok Teja waterfall and it will leave you a relaxing and revitalising feeling at the same time.

Ali’s Waterfall, is a small secluded little waterfall which can be found along the road between Tekek and Juara. It takes around 1 hour to walk starting from the road in front of the Juara jetty to Ali’s Waterfalls. It is a great place to hike and enjoy the beauty and sound of nature. You can swim in the cool and refreshing waters and feel relaxed as you enjoy the forest surroundings and hear the sound of nature.

Mangrove Kayaking

Your trip to Tioman Island is not complete without getting on an adventure with the kayak. You can rent kayaks and paddle away for an exciting kayaking adventure around the crystal-clear sea and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Juara coastline and see the beautiful island view from the sea.

Juara is also popular for mangrove kayaking adventures. Spend a day in Tioman magnificent mangrove forest. Enjoy the kayak ride beneath the canopy of mangrove trees and witness unique species of flora and fauna which are truly beautiful sights to behold. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see some exotic animals such as the snakes, kingfisher, mudskippers, monitor lizards, flying lemur, Long faced Macaque and black giant squirrel. Visit Turtle Sanctuary (Juara Turtle Project)

Juara beach is not only popular for its tourism spot, we are lucky to have regular visits by sea turtles as Juara Beach is one of their nesting grounds. Juara Turtle Project is a conservation centre in Tioman that helps to protect the sea turtle. Visit the Juara Turtle Project to educate yourself about marine conservation. Give back to nature and kickstart your conservation journey at Juara Turtle Project.

If you are lucky, you might be able to see the sea turtles being released into the sea!
